  • By bjoernar96, August 4, 2011 @ 12:10 pm

    @pensterify

I would rather call him a mixture of Iniesta and Ronaldinho, perhaps Xavi to 😛

  • By pensterify, August 4, 2011 @ 12:54 pm

I think he is a mixture of Xavi+Iniesta+Deco=Thiago Alcantara

  • By danyjr, August 4, 2011 @ 1:39 pm

@maxipaxiwaxilaxi Xavi’s Achilles tendon injury is pretty much gone and the calf injury while not ideal, he can play with it. He will have enough rest to start fresh for next season as he won’t be playing a lot in pre-season. Xavi’s skills in keeping possession is second to none, he is more comfortable on the ball at his feet and covers the ball better. Someone like Wilshere is to me is more Xavi-like in that sense than Fábregas. Although both Spaniards are true pass-masters.

@danyjr Thiago’s favourite position is Iniesta’s place, and Xavi has an injury that will never entirely leave, so yes, I do believe Barça needs Fabregas to cover Xavi’s position, although Thiago can cover pretty much the entire midfield.

I was in Poljud and I watched the game. He is simply fantastic (: Better then Cesc!

  • By ForcaFCBarcelona, August 4, 2011 @ 3:51 pm

@Iason 100 and we’ve lost our buy-out clause for Botia.

  • By ForcaFCBarcelona, August 4, 2011 @ 4:12 pm

@Iason 100 “No up and coming LB’s”? There’s a 15-year old kid named Alejandro Grimaldo who’ll be playing with the u19 squad next season. He’s a beast. There’s also Fran who is extremely talented (but has been injured).

  • By Method775, August 4, 2011 @ 4:48 pm

@danyjr they need cesc as back up mman we really have a small squad did you see barca’s last games in la liga? much players were tired

  • By dahenriquez, August 4, 2011 @ 5:13 pm

@SiDanil lol I just told you his age and the position he plays, the fact he is good you see it when you watch the video, I’m a barca fan and I hope Fabregas stays in Arsenal, Barcelona doesn’t need him and paying money for a player that it was in the reserve team years ago and gets injured every two weeks is stupid.
I will give you an advice….If you don’t want to reply, JUST DON’T REPLY, you looked like an idiot by saying “don’t bother me anymore, I’m not going to reply” hahahaha

  • By atelophobia92, August 4, 2011 @ 6:04 pm

@Iason100 I guess he’s not “up and coming” but Lobata, although I think he plays winger in the barca b, was pretty good in the Hajduk game. I think Pep’s approach is wrong, we have a great LB in Abidal and great cover for him in Adriano and Maxwell, we need CBs that was our weakest point last season, hence Masche playing CB.
However, I think we got Sanchez because last season we didn’t concede more goals as the time passed (indicating a strong defense), but our goal scoring tally dwindled.

  • By glusnifa, August 4, 2011 @ 6:28 pm

he is fucking sick, better than fabregas already. More rounded player than xavi, whether he can be as good as iniesta is yet to be seen. Has to show consistency but has so much potential

  • By SiDanil, August 4, 2011 @ 7:27 pm

@dahenriquez fabregas 20 years old is better for me, okay, im getting tired talking to you, I said many times its just my opinion, you keep persuading me to say he is good, after this, TALK TO THE HAND, im not gonna reply, gtg

  • By r10goal, August 4, 2011 @ 7:27 pm

make a jonathan dos santos video please

  • By Iason100, August 4, 2011 @ 8:03 pm

@atelophobia92 Actually, we don’t have an up and coming LB in the youth system. That’s why Barcelona were interested in buying a young LB for the future, like Jose Angel. The plan was to sell Maxwell, buy Jose Angel, move Abidal besides Pique, and move Puyol to the bench. Next summer, I am 100% sure that there will be many changes to the defense. Puyol will go to the bench, Abidal might be as well, Fontas will get more minutes, Botia will be re-bought, we might get another LB.

  • By atelophobia92, August 4, 2011 @ 8:47 pm

    @danyjr
    1) He has given him a chance, he’s been promoted permanently to first team, whether Fabregas comes or not. The fact that he got to wear the number 4 jersey shows that Pep has a lot of confidence in him.
2)We have 3 left backs: Abidal,Maxwell and Adriano( plus many more competent players in the b team), what we actually need is a central defender, which we aren’t going to get, at least I don’t think we are.

  • By publiclymysterious, August 4, 2011 @ 8:59 pm

I hope rumours regarding him to be swapped for fabregas aren’t true

  • By Glimax, August 4, 2011 @ 9:51 pm

    The succesor of Xavi.

  • By daniel180394, August 4, 2011 @ 10:39 pm

@SMZZ2107 When he was young his friends told him he could only use his right foot to make it fair, so he uses the outside of his foot instead of his left foot

  • By bjoernar96, August 4, 2011 @ 11:02 pm

I love how Guardiola gave the nr. 4 jersey to Thiago. The jersey Guardiola played with under his Barca period <3

  • By dahenriquez, August 4, 2011 @ 11:53 pm

@SiDanil Fabregas is 24 years old, FOUR years older , you can compare them when Thiago reach that age because it is enough time to become a crack player. Not even xavi was the great player he is now when he was young so giveThiago some time….

  • By Messi10Dinho, August 5, 2011 @ 12:18 am

He plays like he had 30 years in football …

Futuer of barcelona … better than fabregas

  • By SMZZ2107, August 5, 2011 @ 1:11 am

he seems really right-footed, unlike xavi or iniesta.
