Messi joined Barca as a kid and has gone on to play with some of the finest footballers to ever grace the game, including the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, David Villa, Thierry Henry, Samuel Eto’o, Xavi Hernandez, Pedro, Alexis Sanchez, Neymar, Luis Suarez, Andres Iniesta, and a lot of others.

Messi and Iniesta particularly shared a great career and were both parts of the Barca team that proved to be a dominant force in football during their prime as they won the UEFA Champions League title and a couple of other domestic titles in the Spanish La Liga under their former manager Pep Guardiola.

And now, even though former Spain international midfielder Iniesta no longer plays for the club he still can’t stop thinking about the days when he had to assist Messi for a goal and then run off to celebrate with the Argentina international star. Speaking recently in an interview, Iniesta, who currently plays for Vissel Kobe, a Japanese team, recently revealed that he is glad to have shared the pitch and created memories with his former teammate whom they both enjoyed title-winning campaigns together.

He said he knew Messi from when he was very young and watched him evolve into one of the greatest football players of all time. He added that he is glad to have been a teammate of the club legend and would love to see him finish his playing career at Camp Nou as well.
