INIESTA: PEDRI WILL BE A FUTURE STAR FOR CLUB AND COUNTRY

There is currently a lot of hype surrounding Barcelona’s young midfielder Pedri for the remarkable campaign he had with Spain at the Euros. Pedri, a midfield star for Barcelona and Spain, was one of the standout young players of the tournament, and even though no one would have expected him to play in such a lot of games for his country in the competition, he was one of the most used players in the team by Spain head coach Luis Enrique. Former Barcelona manager Enrique called up the 18-year-old midfield sensation to link up with the Spain national team before the tournament, and it already had a lot of people asking questions.

While some were wondering whether he would even be allowed to make his debut for the Spain national team, others were concerned about whether he will be playing a lot of games for his country. Before the tournament started, Enrique revealed that he was impressed with the teenager’s displays in training and that’s where it all began for the youngster.

No one saw it coming, but he immediately became one of Enrique’s important players in the squad. He earned his starting role in the team and was already a key player for Spain. He made his debut and became the youngest ever player to do so in Spain’s history at the European Championships. And now, former Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has heaped a lot of praise on the little magician.

Iniesta has hailed Pedri as one of the best young players he has seen and has urged the Barcelona star to steadily build on his progress from now. Pedri completed 100% of his passes in the first half of Spain’s semi-final clash against Italy at the Euros but was unable to help his country go on to the finals on Tuesday night, but he will be particularly happy with the impression he made in the competition overall.
